David "Buffalo Bill' Nelson performs his show 'Cowboy Comedy Hour' across the country. Known as 'The Biggest Liar in East Tennessee', he entertains crowds from campfire settings to black tie events. During most shows he is joined by his wife playing an ancient instrument called a bowed psaltery. Jean is in high demand on her own playing solo performances on this unique instrument. David is a graduate of the University of Dubuque and also the University of Iowa. He is a past member of the American Medical Equestrian Association, National Speakers Association, and National Writers Association. He is a member of Who's Who of Elite American Professionals. He is a past member of the Texas Cowboy Poetry Association and the Charlie Russell Cowboy Poets Association. David has written articles for Northeast Equine Journal, American Medical Equestrian Association, Paint Horse Journal and The American Quarter Horse. He also produced the video "Back Injury Prevention for the Equestrian" which was endorsed by the legendary horse trainer, John Lyons. David started his 'cowboying days' with Wes McKinley and Dean Ormiston, owners of the Kirkwell Cattle Company in Springfield, Colorado. Now he makes his home in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee - a place called Townsend, near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. He is a regular, requested entertainer at the Townsend Visitor Center during the biannual festivals. So check out the rest of the site. Listen to some poems. Order some merchandise, or just drop a big 'Howdy' to David.
